Pennsbury Success Candidates Win for Fairness in Elections

On May 13, Jeannine Delwiche, Linda Palsky, and Joanna Steere, endorsed Democratic candidates for the Pennsbury School Board, secured an injunction against Tim Watkins and Frank Cabanas that prevents the latter candidates from the further distribution of deceptive or misleading literature. Watkins, Cabanas, and their agents will no longer be allowed to distribute campaign literature that purports them to be Democratic party candidates.

"We are extremely pleased with the judge's ruling to protect the voters from manipulative messaging," said candidate Jeannine Delwiche. "Doing what is best for the good of our community is one of my primary drivers for running in this election." “We appreciate the increased level of transparency in the election that this injunction affords.” Dr. Steere said.

“I think it tells you a lot about the character of our opponents that we had to go to these lengths to get them to play by the rules,” said Linda Palsky. “I find it truly disheartening to see deception in a school board campaign. This is about providing the best educational system for our students and community, not advancing personal agendas.”

Dawn DiDonato-Burke, Solicitor for the Bucks County Democratic Committee said, "This extraordinary order was necessary to prevent Pennsbury voters from being misled. These candidates were attempting to undermine the election process itself. I believe this ruling will reinforce voter confidence and help insure the honor and integrity of the Official Democratic Ballot and Sample Ballot cannot be distorted without consequence."

The primary election is on Tuesday, May 18th.
